STM, Türkiye’s national engineering power, will exhibit its national warships at Euronaval, the world’s leading naval defense exhibition.
STM Savunma Teknolojileri Mühendislik ve Ticaret A.Ş., having developed innovative and national systems in the Turkish defense industry and achieved export successes all over the world, is showcasing its military maritime platforms developed with national resources to the European showcase.
Euronaval-2024, one of the world’s leading naval defense exhibition, will be held in Paris, the capital of France, between November 4-7. STM, which builds surface and underwater platforms for the Turkish Navy, as well as the Ukrainian, Pakistani and Malaysian Navies, will introduce five different naval projects in Europe.
Pride of Türkiye: First National Frigate Takes Its Place on the European Stage
Türkiye’s first national frigate project, MİLGEM İstif Class Frigate (TCG İSTANBUL), of which STM is the designer and prime contractor, will be showcased at the STM stand. Türkiye’s first national corvette project, MİLGEM Ada Class, of which STM is the main subcontractor, and which has so far delivered four units to the Turkish Navy and achieved export success, will also take its place at the STM stand.
STM500, Türkiye’s first national submarine for special operations and offensive purposes, which was initiated by STM with its own resources and has left behind the test production of the pressure hull, will be presented to the appreciation of the participants. The STM MPAC, a national attack boat design with high speed and maneuvering power, capable of developing attacks with surface-to-surface guided missiles, and a model from the logistics support vessels that STM has brought into the inventory of the Turkish Navy and the Pakistan Navy will also take their place at the STM booth.
Target: Realizing New Exports in Europe in Military Maritime
Özgür Güleryüz, General Manager of STM, highlighted that Türkiye is one of the 10 countries in the world capable of designing and producing its own warships, and stating:
“As Türkiye’s leading engineering company in the military shipbuilding industry, we are not only equipping the Turkish Naval Forces with national and modern platforms, but also, we are sharing our experience with the navies of friendly and brotherly countries and exporting our products that will contribute to our country’s economy. We have achieved export successes in Pakistan, Ukraine and Malaysia with our indigenous warships, which have proven themselves successfully in the Blue Homeland and in international waters. We realized Türkiye’s first corvette export to Europe with the Ukrainian Corvettes, which we continue to build for the Ukrainian Navy. We will exhibit our modern naval platforms at Euronaval to open the door to new exports and collaborations in the field of military maritime in Europe. We will continue to successfully represent our country in the world arena with our flexible engineering solutions, unique design and technological capabilities.”
