Tersan Shipyard has successfully delivered the Arctic factory fishing vessel NB1102 Gadus, built for Faroe Islands based JFK TROL. Gadus is the second fishing vessel that Tersan Shipyard has delivered to Faroe Island customers in the last three months.
The fishing vessel, the length overall of 88.1 meter and width of 18.30 meter is an advanced, technologically sophisticated factory-equipped fishing vessel that can be fished with triple trawl winches. The vessel is equipped with a shrimp factory, an advanced fillet factory and a fish meal and fish oil factory, and also has refrigerated holds for onboard freezing of pelagic species.
Designed by Skipsteknisk, the vessel has accommodation for 43 persons with spacious and comfortable spaces. The vessel, which was built to carry out efficient fishing activities in icy and arctic waters, navigate from Tersan on October 3 after a successful delivery process and arrived in the Faroe Islands on October 15 and was named “Gadus” with an exciting ceremony. Gadus is the 4th vessel delivered by Tersan Shipyard in 2023. The shipyard has 3 more vessels planned to be delivered in 2023.
