Boğaziçi Shipyard organized the first welding ceremony of EEMS BISON multipurpose cargo vessel to be built for the Dutch Handelskade and Amasus on March 18 Saturday in its Yalova facilities.
The ceremony that started with the national anthems of both countries received broad participation from the Netherlands. Following the keynote addresses where mention was made of the Çanakkale Victory on March 18, the welding ceremony was carried out. After the representatives of Boğaziçi Shipyard and the guests from the Netherlands presented their gifts to each other, they took souvenir photographs in the cocktail. At the end of the ceremony, the Dutch committee walked around the facilities of Boğaziçi Shipyard and received information from the representatives.
Last year, a contract was executed between Boğaziçi Shipyard, Handelskade and Amasus for a series of four offshore Diesel Electrical MPP Shortsea Cargo Vessels. Following the welding ceremony, the vessel is expected to be delivered within 2023.
