The Bosphorus Ship Brokers Dinner, a biennial event that is hosted by the Ship Brokers Association (GBD), which brings together many domestic and foreign shipbrokers, has been postponed to 2022 for the third time.

The fifth Bosphorus Ship Brokers Dinner, expected to take place on 5th June 2021, has been postponed to 24th June 2022. As regards the postponement, the Ship Brokers Association (GBD) declared that the event would not take place in compliance with its intent under the pandemic conditions, which are still in effect.

President Semih Dinçel has released an announcement on the official GBD website concerning the postponement.

The announcement included the following statements:

As is known, as the Ship Brokers Association we had postponed Bosphorus Ship Brokers Dinner to Friday evening, 18th June 2021, which we host biennially to meet your friends.

The process that we are going through at the end of a year under the influence of Pandemic reveals that our event cannot be held organised in compliance with its intent.

Therefore, we decided to postpone the fifth Bosphorus Ship Brokers Dinner to Friday evening, 24th June 2022.

While taking this decision, we consulted all relevant parties and get their opinion about our Dinner. With the belief that the decision we make on postponement would help our international guests’ travel planning and convenience, we wish you a healthy day.

Best regards,

Board of Directors
