The first of two LNG-diesel Ro-Ro vessels built by Kuzey Star Shipyard for the Russian FSUE Rosmorport Company arrived at its duty station in the Baltic Sea.
The Russian FSUE Rosmorport firm has placed an order for two 200-meter-long Ro-Ro vessels for service on the Ust-Luga-Baltiysk line. The LNG / Diesel hybrid-powered vessels were built at the Kuzey Star Shipyard. Marshal Rokossovsky, the first ordered vessel, arrived at his duty station in the Baltic Sea.
Marshal Rokossovsky, Russia’s first Ro-Ro vessel propelled by LNG, will be able to transport wagons in addition to autos, trucks, and semi-trailer trucks.
General Chernyakhovsky, the second vessel ordered, is scheduled to be delivered by the end of this year.
