Tersan Shipyard launched the Arctic Factory Fishing Vessel NB1102 Gadus built for JFK TROL company in the Faroe Islands.
Gadus became the second fishing vessel launched by Tersan Shipyard in the last two months for its Faroe Islander customers. The 88.1 meters long and 18.30 meters wide fishing vessel will be an advanced and technologically sophisticated factory fishing vessel, able to catch fish with triple trawl winches. Having a built-in shrimp factory, an advanced fillet factory and a fish meal and fish oil factory, the vessel will also be furnished with cold storage for freezing the pelagic species aboard. With spacious and comfortable living areas, the vessel will be able to accommodate 43 people. Intended to efficiently perform fishing activities in icy and arctic waters, the vessel is planned for delivery in the last quarter of 2022.
