President of Defense Industries of Presidency of the Republic of Turkey İsmail Demir stating that TCG Anadolu Vessel of which building process is ongoing will be Turkey’s striking power at sea, said that works are being carried in order to equip the vessel with SIHA and HURJET.
President of Defense Industries of Presidency İsmail Demir, in the statement he made, also gave information about the building process of the multi-purpose assault vessel TCG Anadolu and the works carried out for the national aircraft that are planned to be used with the vessel.
Stating that they had a meeting with Baykar, the manufacturer of Bayraktar SİHAs, regarding the deployment of SIHAs to TCG Anadolu, said “Baykar started works on developing a new transformed SIHA. Works on what kind of measures can be taken to facilitate take-off and landing on the vessel have been continuing since last year. Works on what can be put on the vessel when it is put into use and how much it can be possible while in service are still ongoing.”
İsmail Demir also said that works are being carried out to deploy the domestic jet training aircraft HURJET on board.
