Developed by the Norwegian design company Salt Ship Design and equipped with LNG and battery propulsion system, the world’s second purse seine-trawler, after Libas, launched at the Cemre Shipyard facilities.
The length of 86.5 m Sunny Lady has a 350 m³ LNG tank, a 2,830 m³ RSW (Refrigerated Sea Water) tank capacity and a 1000 kWh battery power.
The 1000 kWh battery of the vessel will play an important role in preventing noise and environmental pollution when the vessel is at the quay, as well as being used mostly in peak shaving operations and energy recovery.
