Tersan Shipyard successfully delivered the super-factory fishing vessel Georgiy Meshcheryakov, built with the number NB1096, to Russia’s JSC “Okeanrybflot” company.
Georgiy Meshcheryakov is among the largest fishing factory vessels in the world with its size and features. Built to hunt Alaskan Haddock in the Sea of Okhotsk and Herring, Mackerel and Haddock in the Pacific, the vessel is equipped with two 4,060 kW main engines, and two 1,900 kW auxiliary engines.
With a total cargo hold capacity of 4,700 m³, it can freeze 450 metric tons of products per day. If the necessary support is provided, the vessel can operate in the open sea for 11 months without interruption.
